AREAS OF FOCUS

I am a Registered Psychologist with a Master of Science degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary. I have many years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing significant behavioural, emotional, and psychological challenges (e.g., anxiety, depression, parent-child relationships, trauma & PTSD, grief & loss, family of origin, and other presenting concerns).

I am passionate about helping others increase their overall sense of well-being through a trusting, collaborative, relationship-based approach. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing a range of interpersonal, adaptive, developmental, behavioural, and/or social-emotional challenges and disorders. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches (including EMDR) to best meet the client's needs, and seek to help create meaningful change and increase a sense of peace and wellness. I believe that understanding where a person is coming from and highlighting their strengths in a non-judgmental and empathic manner helps to create space for change and success.

Outside of the work I do, I enjoy adventuring with my dog, spending time with friends and family, strength training, traveling and exploring different cultures and places, and dancing my heart out.

I am a Registered Social Worker with a Clinical Masters of Social Work from the University of Calgary.  My experience over the last several years has provided me the opportunity to support variety of clients from all walks of life, from young children to teens and adults. I have experience in providing support for children and teens experiencing emotional dysregulation, parent-child relationship challenges, anxiety, low self-esteem, behavioural challenges, among other presenting concerns.  I am also passionate about supporting individuals in their own journey of growth as they look to create healthier habits, engage in more positive relationship patterns, and make choices that best benefit their well-being.

I believe therapy to be a deeply healing experience that has the opportunity to create positive lasting change.  I strive to foster a safe, collaborative, and meaningful relationship with my clients. I value a relation focused approach and recognize that everyone's well-being is multifaceted and it looks different for each individual.  As so, I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches to ensure I am best supporting clients and providing them with the best approach to meet their needs and goals.

In my free time I enjoy lots of walks with my dog, trying out new restaurants and spending time with family and friends.
